remember my cousin from the last post? well this stunning fitness instructor below is her childhood best friend. and i am so thrilled that i had the opportunity to reconnect with her after SO many years to take some updated headshots! she is a fitness instructor and needed some updated headshots to use for her gym’s monthly newsletter. we decided we would do some “action” shots and some regular shots. as i’m writing this, i’m realizing that i’m not a fan of the word “regular” because headshots absolutely do NOT have to be “regular”… aka boring. 🙂 this beauty has such a fun personality and it definitely came through in these portraits which makes my heart sing.
at one point during the session when rachel was doing yoga poses, she said “how’s this look, do i have good form?” i looked around expecting to see that a yoga expert had suddenly appeared out of nowhere! but there was no-one. just random passersby at Piedmont Park going about their normal park activities. i turned back to her and said “are you asking me? girl, i have absolutely no idea if that looks like the right form.. but i got a picture of it!” so we did some trial and error, she examined the photos on the back of the camera, and (after her inspection) we got the perfect positions to debut in the fitness newsletter for her company.
ps – shoutout to rachel’s boyfriend who carried all of her gear (and at times, my gear) for her throughout this session.
